Seasoned management professional with 25+ years' information management,
business continuity and emergency response experience in the utility
industry and 5+ years consulting experience in marketing, information
management, business development and business continuity. Familiar with
all aspects of information management, business continuity and disaster
recovery practices and technologies. I was instrumental in the development
and implementation of The Southern Company's corporate, engineering and
nuclear records programs and all business continuity and emergency action
plans for The Southern Company critical corporate facilities. As a

Technical Profile
* March-June, 2010, volunteered as Executive Assistant to the Campaign
Manager for Alabama's 5th Congressional District candidate Taze Shepard.
As Executive Assistant I defined staff positions, wrote staff position
descriptions and managed all staff and volunteers. I was personally
responsible for keeping the campaign calendar and planning for the
candidate's presence and visibility at district-wide events.
* As the first person in the U.S. to take and pass the nuclear records
specialist exam, I serve on the Board of Regents for the Nuclear Records
Certification exam. There are approximately 15 nuclear records
specialists world-wide.
* As Project Manager and Recruitment Coordinator for the SPARTA Defense
System Sector of Cobham Analytic Solutions in Huntsville, AL, moved the
ACT Online web-based cyber security training courses from less than 50 to
over 3,000 course completions and 6,500 registrants in one year. The
training was developed by SPARTA, Vanderbilt University and the
University of Memphis.
* Co-authored a white paper titled "Records and Data Management: Paradigms
and Strategies for the Future"
* As Engineering Records Supervisor, developed and managed the engineering
records program and the nuclear QA records/Safeguards information records
programs for The Southern Company. Served as chairman of an ad-hoc
nuclear records committee for over 5 years.
* Chaired a national task force on managing electronic information.
* Developed pricing structures and software specifications for several
areas within The Southern Company. Also developed and managed multi-
million dollar budgets.
* As manager of the corporate records program I developed a consolidated
retention schedule for all of The Southern Company. This schedule
replaced approximately 2,000 individual schedules.
* Selected and implemented software for managing all records of The
Southern company. This software replaced multiple legacy systems across
the company.
* Managed and developed pricing for Alabama Power's corporate record
center.
* As Corporate Information Management manager, I was responsible for the
corporate records program, research library services, and all company
office supplies and convenience copiers.
* Chaired an Anti-terrorism committee for the Emergency Management Agency
(EMA) of Jefferson County, AL. The committee was comprised of the heads
of county agencies. The committee assessed the
vulnerability/accessibility of approximately 23,000 buildings and
provided a list (prioritized by vulnerability) of 125 buildings to
Jefferson County and to the Department of Homeland Security.
* Developed a consolidated program for Alabama Power's Emergency Response
Plan that included brochures, website, procedures, awareness training and
an emergency phone number for employees/occupants.
* Spearheaded a project team to develop and test business continuity and
emergency response plans and teams for The Southern Company. Developed
and lead exercises for all critical areas of the company including a full
all-out drill of the Alabama Power Corporate Headquarters building and
the Georgia Power data center and corporate headquarters.
