PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Data2Logistics, LLC August 1988 - present
Fort Myers, FL/Salt Lake City, UT
Lead General Manager November 03 - present
Promoted by COO and charged with replicating the successes I had achieved
at the Fort Myers facility across all Operations locations and ensuring
standardized processes are employed. Hold full P&L responsibility for US
processing, directing over 120 employees in the freight bill processing,
payment, and reporting services for over 300 clients, including Verizon,
Cisco, UTC, Medtronic, DirecTV, and NCR. Direct internal development of
new products and services, including customer initiatives. Reporting to
COO.
. Instituted a continuous improvement methodology that included
process automation and standardization initiatives which allowed us
to improve EBITDAR from a break-even standpoint to 50% through
August 2010. The execution of this program was so successful that
continuous improvements are being driven from all levels of the
organization, including entry level Data Entry operators managing
an alliance partner to implement OCR.
. Closed two redundant offices, in Randolph, Massachusetts and
Orlando, Florida ahead of schedule. Clients were transitioned to
Salt Lake City or Fort Myers based on geography or industry with no
disruption in service. This netted annualized savings of $900,000.
. Implemented standard and region-specific processes in new office
opened in Rotterdam, The Netherlands, using local workforce.
Accomplished this remotely as well as on-site in Rotterdam for six
months. Within two years this operation is delivering over 2
million EUR in revenue annually.
. Eliminated unnecessary staff, over 30 employees, by raising the bar
and gaining acceptance of more aggressive KPIs throughout the
Operations organization. As the top performers saw everyone being
held more accountable, and marginal contributors being eliminated,
their own productivity increased. Coupled with systematic
enhancements, this contributed to the ability to do more with less.
. Established partnerships with WNS N.A. and iTech BPO for offshore
data entry and quality assurance resulting in annualized savings
over $1 million. Utilized Six Sigma methodology in designing SLA
that maintained rigid standards of quality, timeliness, and
customer service.
. Developed an operational Implementation team for the successful
launch of new customers led by a Director, reducing cycle time by
30 days. New business delivered by this team includes: Microsoft,
Hitachi, UTC, Watson Pharmaceutical, and MillerCoors.
. Reduced cycle time from 7 to 5 days, achieving 99% on-time
performance.
. Led the design effort for new customer offerings, including On-Line
Exceptions Processing, Image-based Contracts, Data Warehouse, and
Business Intelligence division, which have added $200,000 of annual
recurring revenue to the bottom line.
General Manager August 99 - November 03
Promoted at the same time that the previous GM was elevated to the position
of VP of Operations. Accountable for overall P&L of Fort Myers, FL
operation which generated $6 million in annual revenue and $1 million in
EBITDAR from a customer base that included GE, Siemens, Boeing, BMW,
Decision One, Eastman Kodak, and 85 employees.
. Consistently exceeded goals for Net Income, Return on Revenue, Comp
Ratio, and Customer Retention. Achieved organizational bonus
individually, and for my team, each year.
. Volunteered to assume GM responsibility for office in Atlanta, GA
in March 2003, and successfully closed that office, transitioning
its client base to Fort Myers, FL and Salt Lake City, UT,
delivering annualized savings of $650,000.
. Launched a scanning operation which eliminated the need for
customers to warehouse paper invoices, while also earning over
$100,000 in additional monthly revenue from new service offering.
. Earned Six Sigma Green Belt certification by successfully executing
a DFSS project for GE that redesigned their freight payment
process, reducing their cycle time by 5 business days and aligning
the process with their global supply chain reporting needs.
. Led development effort by IT team of web-based, least-cost-carrier
routing and selection tool, adding $50,000 to bottom line annually.
. Have had over one dozen direct reports promoted within the
organization to positions including H.R. Director, General Manager,
Director of Customer Service, Director of Quality and Internal
Controls, 3 Operations Improvement Managers, and various
Supervisory positions.
