To Whom It May Concern:
My experiences are varied and diverse. I am presenting only a few of those
that may be of value to your company's needs.
Several years ago, I worked for Butler Telecom at one of Verizon's Design
and Engineering Centers where I assisted the engineering staff using
supplied spreadsheets, technical documentation, and system network diagrams
/ schematics for the completion of projects located at strategic locations
throughout the continental United States. Most of our work was computer
generated, quality checked, and then retransmitted via network
communication to the receiving sites. Part of my area of responsibility
was spending time on the phone obtaining and clarifying data needs from
field engineers or Verizon technical staff.
Later, I worked with Technical Integration Group at Affiliated Computer
Services in Fort Wayne. This was a relatively large project with a focal
point of migrating the city of Fort Wayne, Indiana, from a Novell based
environment to a Windows based environment using active directory and other
windows network services. While there, I worked as a field technician
making computer and network changes. I was responsible for the creation of
documentation to assist co-workers and end-users alike with the technical
and procedural data necessary for them to finalize or complete projects.
I have excellent interpersonal skills, excellent office management skills,
and support employee training and continuous improvement programs. While
working in the RV construction business I was vested as the "troubleshooter
/ solutions maker" for the production line because of my ability to relate
to production demands as well as people and thereby adjust tasks in order
to keep production and quality levels high. I was often the designated
trainer for implementation of process line changes, functional changes or
substituted for personnel.
When the economy slowed, I lost my job because the company filed bankruptcy
and closed several plants. I have taken this opportunity to continue my
education adding to my computer skills.
In closing, I ask that you review my resume and consider my experiences for
any available positions that you may have.
Thank you,
J David Burnette Jr.
