Work Experience:
10/09-present Walgreens Corporation
I have been supplementing my income working part-time at a local Walgreens
store. As the Senior Beauty Adviser, I am a direct supervisor to two
employees and I manage the everyday sales and operations of the Cosmetics
Department. I set and monitor sales goals, commissionable sales, and
employee performance in addition to helping maintain appropriate inventory
counts and ordering merchandise.
1/08-present Noah's Ark Animal Workshop, www.buildanimals.com
I began this business as a sole proprietor in January of 2008. I provide
children's entertainment for day care centers, preschools, before and after
school programs and birthday parties. This has given me invaluable insight
into all aspects of running a small business, including, but not limited
to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit card processing,
database management, marketing and promotion, ordering and inventory and,
above all, the importance of building and maintaining strong customer
relationships.
5/96-1/08 Stay-at-home mom to 3 beautiful children

group for my children that included a structured curriculum and rotating
schedule. I served on the PTA at Northern Shores Elementary School. I
organized two Girl Scout Troops and oversaw all activities in association
with those, including cookie sales and distribution. I also became
involved with charitable organizations, such as Autism Speaks as a
fundraiser and I home schooled a special needs child for 3 years. For fun
and, occasionally to supplement my income, I also sang and played the
keyboard for a church group as well as on various for hire and not-for-hire
occasions.
