Powder Coat Painter - Observed paint machine operations to detect defects

or deviations form standards, and make adjustments as necessary.

. Read job orders and inspected work pieces to determine work materials

required

. Clean surfaces of work pieces in preparation for coating, using cleaning

fluids, solvents, brushes, scrapers, sandpaper, or cloth. Rinse, drain

and wipe work pieces to remove excess material to facilitate setting of

coats on work pieces

. Weigh or measured paints before adding them to the painting machines.

Determine paint flow, viscosity, and coating quality by performing visual

inspections

. Selected appropriate color of paints, prepared them according to

formulas, using automated paint mixing equipment. Turn dials and switches

to regulate conveyor speeds, oven temperature, air pressure, circulation,

and the flow of the spray of coating and paints

. Set up and operated machines to paint metal products. Start and stop

operation of machines, using computer flat screen. Record operation data

on specified forms of color and listed each color change

. Started pumps to mix solutions and filled hoppers. Operated auxiliary

machines and equipment used in coating and painting process

. Place coated work pieces in ovens/dryers for specified times in order to

dry or harden finishes. Heated coating materials to specified

temperatures. Conceal blemishes in work pieces, such as nicks and dents

using fillers such as bondo

driveways, and parking lots, and spread salt in those areas

. Cared for established lawns by mulching, aerating, weeding, grubbing and

removing thatch, and trimming and edging around flowerbeds, walks, and

walls. Prune and trim trees, shrubs, and hedges, using shears, pruners,

or chain saws. Spread herbicides, insecticides onto grass, shrubs, and

trees, using hand or automatic sprayers or spreaders

. Maintained and repair tools, equipment, and structures such as building,

greenhouses, fences, and benches using hand and power tools

. Provided proper upkeep of sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, planters,

and other grounds features
