EMPLOYMENT
January 2009 May 2009/March 2010 Present Brides by Demetrio’s
Scottsdale, AZ
Bridal Consultant
At Brides by Demetrio’s my responsibilities include selling, maintaining a
clientele, placing orders, merchandising/visual, filing, receptionist
responsibilities, and preparing and planning for events. This is my first job
in the bridal industry. It has opened my eyes, even more, in pursuing the
public relations field.
March 2010 September 2010 Macy’s Scottsdale, AZ
Merchandiser
At the Scottsdale Macy’s, I had the same responsibilities as my previous
merchandising position at the Mall of America. The only difference was
that I had to merchandise the whole store and not a specific area.
2009 Minnesota Fashion Week Minneapolis, MN
Volunteer
• I worked at a fashion show for the designer Kim Jurek. My duties
included being a personal assistant, coordinating throughout the event,
and managing the guest lists. This was by far a phenomenal experience.
June 2009 March 2010 Macy’s Bloomington, MN
Merchandiser
• I worked as a merchandiser for young men’s and men’s active wear at
the Mall of America. My responsibilities included placing new product,
setting sales, doing markdowns, replenishing, and being a leader. This
was by far my favorite job because I was doing two things I love to do
most, leading and marketing.
October 2008 February 2009 White House Black Market Chandler, AZ
Sales Specialist
My responsibilities at White House Black Market included selling, maintaining
a clientele, and merchandising/visual. This was my least favorite job
because there was no opportunity for growth.
June 2007 September 2008 Macy’s Edina, MN
Vendor Specialist
At Macy’s I was a vendor specialist for Theory, a women’s contemporary
clothing brand. My responsibilities included selling, personal shopping,
maintaining a clientele, merchandising/visual, communicating with buyers
and the account executive, placing orders, completing weekly sales
reports, and being a leader. While in this position, a rewarding opportunity
occurred. I had a chance to visit another Macy’s and taught them the
product knowledge and the merchandising standards that Theory
expected. I also worked closely with the stores stylist to produce fashion
shows. While at Macy’s, I received an outstanding “star” from
management because I gave outstanding customer service to my clients.
This was by far an amazing, growing opportunity for me.
November 2003 June 2007 Herberger’s Bloomington, MN
Lead
When I started at Herberger’s I was a seasonal short hour associate who
worked in accessories. I worked my way up to a part time assistant to the
women’s lead. I would assist in setting sales, markdowns, and
merchandising while performing great customer service. After that, I
worked my way up to be a full time associate and a lead of petite’s and
dresses. My responsibilities included setting sales, markdowns,
merchandising/visual, communicating with upper management, and being
a leader. This was my stepping stone into deciding that I wanted to go into
the fashion/retail industry as my career.
