Work with the shift supervisor to ensure safety and security services to staff, visitors and contractors. Working
alongside the shift supervisor I have responsibility for monitoring both inside and outside activities using CCTV
which include stationary and pan-tilt cameras and direct officers to trouble locations as needed. Monitor 2-way
radio communications within the property limits and direct staff to locations as needed. I share the
responsibility to ensure officers provide entrance control and package inspections using x-ray machines and
magnetometers. Ensure staff, visitors and contractors comply with the buildings rules and regulations.

monitoring along with injury and illness prevention. Officers assist Federal Protective Service in the event of
civil disturbance along with Emergency Management Personal. Officers provide roving patrols to ensure
safety of exterior lots and ground and writing parking citations when necessary. Officers maintain key control
records as well as monitoring security and fire alarms and write reports as needed. Assume duties and
responsibilities for the shift in the absence of the shift supervisor.

Administratively support the Division Chief, 7 Department Managers and 7 Team Leaders. Prepare reports,
correspondence, memoranda, and other materials for response to inquiries by managers, contractors and
citizens. Create work orders for Trades Worker and Landscape Crews using the MP2 work order system.

payment. Respond to routine telephone inquiries requiring standard answers; refers callers and visitors to
appropriate staff. Sorts and distribute internal and external mail. Maintain an effective working relationship
with all levels of employees. Manage the department’s cell phone, Xerox and uniform accounts and ensure
contractors are adhering to contract requirements. Manage and track expenditures of the department’s
budget. Manage the division’s overtime costs, and in the event of declared emergencies; submit appropriate
paper work to F.E.M.A. for monetary reimbursement. Manage the Division Chiefs calendar, scheduling
appointments, meetings etc. Make travel, hotel, car and other arrangements as needed for staff members
traveling. Train and instruct managers, team leaders etc on changes in time and attendance, new hire,
seasonal and I-9 polices. Complete training forms and requests for advanced travel monies. Maintains
working relationship with other organizational support units; manage the divisions shipping policies and costs
with external shipping companies to ensure safe arrival of packages and other incoming items. Provide
Human Resource support (maintaining personal files, completion and submission of I-9 documents, complete
and submit time and attendance for all staff members). Created and maintains the Administrative Assistant V
handbook.

Administratively supported the Director of Public safety and 2 Department Managers; administratively run the
day to day operations of the District of Columbia Public Library Police Force; responsible for tracking and

reports/statistical information for the Board of Directors of the DC Public Library to identify, evaluate, track and

other DC Government Agencies. Monitor internal and external movements of the public and staff using CCTV
and 2-way radios. Identify safety concerns and direct maintenance staff to problem area and ensure they
correct the problem(s). Make small repairs with hand tools if maintenance staff was not available. Maintain
