Indianapolis Power and Light
Position responsible for data collection, sampling, database development, and data entry.
Working closely with Corporate Safety Managers, Industrial Hygienists, Plant Managers, and
Plant Safety Managers.
Reports directly to Corporate Safety’s Industrial Hygienist as well as Corporate Safety Team
Responsible for directly assisting the Industrial Hygienist with plant sampling for noise,
lighting samples, respirable/total dust samples, updating MSDSs, and the chemical inventory
for all three power plants.
Responsible for developing the databases for employee safety records and collected
samples.
Attending many company meetings and seminars that focused on lost time prevention,
accident prevention, and ergonomics.
Overhead/underground distribution line repair inspections and Distribution Storage Center
inspections .

Worked closely with the campus Radiation specialist to complete chemical inventories of the
science labs and building for the Department of Homeland Security.
Asbestos abatement evaluations and testing.
Daily walk through audits of on-campus construction projects and issuing of “Hot Work”
permits where necessary.
Building renovation audits.
Removal of outdated fire-hoses and equipment from residence halls and other campus run
facilities.
Attended a workshop for safe driving.
