Ms. Tungol was hired to develop the service and training arm
of Net Curricula, a technology integration company working in
the education sector of the Philippines and various
developing countries. Reporting to the CEO and COO, Ms.
Tungol was appointed as the country manager for the
ThinkQuest program established by Advanced Network & Services
(now continued by the Oracle Foundation). Ms. Tungol
represented the Philippines for the ThinkQuest national
partner's meetings in White Plains, NY in 1997 and 2000 and
was actively involved in the international campaign to
promote the program. She also served in the steering
committee for the Geneva and Cairo conferences in 1998 and
2000 respectively.
Ms. Tungol built the Curriculum Resources Service department
from the ground up, which generated the third largest revenue
stream for the company. She also negotiated and secured
exclusive distributorship for Southeast Asia from
international software and online vendors, such as
Mathematica, Britannica Online, and BlackBoard.
Ms. Tungol was also hand picked by the CEO and COO to join
the Investors Relations Group and as the Business Development
Team Lead, was tasked to identify off-shoot businesses from
an emerging information and communications technology
integration trend and implement the Business Process
Management project of the company.
