City of Laredo Utilities Department

My responsibility as the main dispatcher is to report the work orders

out in the field to all the serviceman and meter readers. I

constantly have contact with various people not to exclude customers

that might be reporting a problem at their residence. I as well work

with different divisions with in the department in order to maintain a

smooth working environment and address every job on time and in an

orderly fashion. I initialize and finalize accounts for the water

usage as well as complete all work orders within the period given. I

also assist customers via telephone or walk-in with courtesy to help

them resolve their issue.

June 06-Jan 2008 Teller

City of Laredo Parking Division

My duties consisted of providing excellent customer service to

customers that used the facilities. I charge customers for the use of

the spaces that they occupied with the use of a ticket method. Handled

large amount of cash, and balanced my register at the end of the

shift. Logged on a register sheet the plates of the vehicles daily, to

keep track of the car flow and monitor the incoming and outgoing

traffic.

Jan.04- June 06 Lead Receptionist

Laredo Urgent Care Clinic

My responsibility was to check in and out patients, additionally I was

to call adjustors and get approvals for procedures or exams ordered by

the doctor. Making referrals for the patients, verifying all

insurances, entering all patients information onto the system, making

appointments. Answering a multi line phone, as well as took co-

payments and deductibles from patients. At the end of the day I was to

count all the patients seen and balance all the transactions made that

day which included cash, credit and checks.

Manor Apartments (Staffing Agency)

In the absence of the manager I took over the responsibilities of the

apartment complex. I accepted the applications of the people that

desire to become tenants in the complex. As well I would verify all

the information, like run background checks, and verified employment.

I inspected the apartment for any damage before and after a tenant

would move in or move out. I would also run the office for all the

paperwork and duties that needed to be taken care off. I would make

the deposit on a daily basis for the rent and electricity collected on

that day. The flash report due every Friday entered the electricity

bill information on the tenants file and as well sends out the paper

bill.

Sep.00- Sep.02 Administrative Assistant/Bookkeeping Clerk

Coca-Cola Enterprise (Staffing Agency)

My tasks while working at the Coca-Cola enterprise consisted in

keeping all the money brought in by the drivers accountable for. This

included coin and cash from vending machines, and business checks from

companies. This usually accounted for $15-$17 thousand a day. I

counted all currency and posted it on the system, from there I was to

make a financial report of everything that came in for that day, and

fax it over to the valley office. Have all the money ready for the

next day accounted for and organized for the guys to pick it up to

take to the bank.

City of Laredo Housing Authorities (JTPA Program)

Duties included sending out mail, corresponding to people living in

the section 8 of the housing program and also people on the waiting

list. Calling and updating the information of the people enrolled in

the program with their earnings and other information. Filed

documentation, sorted mail, answered and transferred calls.

Filed all paperwork, stamped and sorted incoming mail. Answered

incoming local calls in the department and transfer them over to the

designed person. I typed up memos, and any other information that was

assigned to me. I helped out with the long lines formed outside with

the tellers, as well made the deposit sheet for the incoming checks.
