PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Project: GMACBSA, General Motors

. Data in the Training site database was scrubbed to remove sensitive

information that was exported from the production database.

Gathered the requirements for Data Scrubbing module and prepared

design documents with a pseudo code to illustrate the logic and data

flow for the scrubbing process.

. Developed Oracle PL/SQL procedures, functions and packages with proper

exception handling and implemented dynamic queries by implementing

business specific rules as per a scalable design to accommodate any

new requirements.

. Implemented SQL loader and External tables' concepts to load the data

into the tables and tuned the performance of the queries. .

. Used shell scripting to initiate the scrubbing process.

. Handled several constraint violation and data type mismatch issues and

also tuned the performance of the queries. Tested the data flow both

at the DB level and application level.

Project: Champion-Legal Application Data Migration, Cisco Systems Inc, CA

. Migrated the data of eight Champion-Legal Cisco applications from

PeopleSoft database to Oracle HRMS.

. Involved in requirements gathering, design, development, and testing

and support phases for this project. Prepared Unit and Integration

test plans.

. Exhibited strong analytical skills to study the applications for the

current data flow from front-end to database and identified the data

fields that are to be migrated to the new database. Analyzed the

PL/SQL packages, PERL/CGI and UNIX scripts to identify the scheduled

job for each application.

. Involved in critical data and data type comparison between the AS-IS

and To-Be databases, identified the gaps, prepared related documents

and handled various issues like data inconsistency, missing table

columns in the new database, data type and width mismatch, constraint

violation issues.

. Developed complex business logic in PL/SQL for finding the manager

hierarchy for every employee.

. Implemented data migration from the AS-IS database to the TO-BE

database by creating the DB objects in the new database and scheduled

the DB jobs to their respective applications.

. Deployed the code on testing/stage and production environments and

tested all the applications. Conducted the release/Go-Live of this

project.

Project: ECOMATRIX 2.1, Cisco Systems Inc, CA/Bangalore

. Enhanced the ECO Matrix tool with the new requirements.

. Prepared design documents, Unit and Integration test plans and

prepared sequence diagrams to depict the flow of the application.

. Implemented enhancements in the jsp, HTML pages, Struts ActionForms

and Action Classes and JDBC pages utilizing Apache Tomcat web server

and Struts Framework.

. Worked extensively on struts-config.xml framework to incorporate new

routing and configurations for the application.

. Developed PL/SQL procedures and packages.

. Integrated the entire code and tested the application.
