Dear Sir/Ma'am,

I am writing in response to your position for an administrative assistant.

As you can see from my resume, I have several years experience supporting a

busy executive. I also have experience in a large office environment,

working in a senior leadership role on a team of more than 40 people. I am

driven, articulate, and bring a dynamic presence to employers.

I enjoy the challenges that come with supporting busy executives. Tackling

travel arrangements logistics one of my favorite things. I have extensive

experience with the travel industry. I am an expert calendar manager and

have sound judgment to prioritize. I am comfortable with all levels of

management, including preparing documents and presentations for a large

board of directors.

I have exceptional knowledge of Microsoft software and type 95 words per

minute. I am superbly comfortable on the telephone and can react calmly and

with expert knowledge in all situations. I have worked with the supervisory

help desk, which required diffusing difficult situations when required to

go above and beyond standard protocol to assist customers. Also, I

completed several years of Army ROTC training. I know how to stay

collected, asses a situation, and react accordingly with poise. I work

excellently under pressure and always meet a deadline. I thrive well in

high energy, demanding environments. I know how important it is to always

I have outstanding written and oral communication, being selected for best

student fiction and commencement speaker at Southwestern Illinois College.

At SWIC, I completed training in medical laboratory technology, which has

given me a highly critical and analytical eye. During the laboratory work,

I also drafted procedural manuals, which has made me comfortable with

technical writing as well. My coursework in linguistics and computer

science at the University of Kansas, I know how to manipulate both language

and computers.

I am fantastically creative and bring an innovation to each task I perform.

I pride myself on always looking for a way to make a process more

efficient, more personal, and/or more imaginative. I enjoy being the

singular point of contact for problems and being seen as the "go-to" woman.
