Project Manager

Directed over $45M in tenant and capital improvements projects for a mid-

sized full-service real estate company. Located at the Richard J. Daley

Center, a landmarked governmental building with one of the largest

courthouses in the country, projects included $20M sprinkler retrofit,

elevator and escalator modernization, property condition assessment, LEED

feasibility study, security improvements and energy performance contract

evaluation. Reviewed and negotiated contracts, led project team meetings,

and developed scope and budget for proposals. Executed both hard-bid and

negotiated contracts. Coordinated management of existing asbestos

materials impacted by all projects. Involved landlord, government tenants,

managing agent and contractors as project team.

. Developed project scheduling, tracking and reporting dramatically

increasing the number of capital improvement projects simultaneously

disposal and construction company. Managed 35-person field and office

staff and a fleet of heavy equipment.

. Delivered a 10-acre solid waste landfill expansion on-time. This

major expansion included bioreactor attributes and abutted the active

face of the landfill. Directed construction strategies to effectively

deal with poor weather, unforeseen subsurface conditions and

groundwater and leachate intrusion.

. Supervised mass earthwork contract for 20-acre mixed use development.

Identified effective solutions for poor soils and detention pond

erosion which provided substantial value.

. Negotiated resolution of substantial change order disputes involving

expansive soils and other third party error inherited from the
