in operating application software including MS Outlook and Word with basic capabilities in MS Power
Point and Excel.

Resident Assistant
Responsible for assisting residents who live in the residence halls. Gives guidance to parents,
advises students, directs them to the appropriate buildings on campus based on their needs. Works
with roommates/unit mates to resolve differences, is available and accessible to students as often as
possible. Conducts unit meetings on a bi weekly basis to discuss and explain policies, issues, and
unit concerns, enforces all policies in a fair and objective manner. On a daily basis documents all
violations and participates as required in the judicial process. Provides leadership and sets an
example by adhering to federal and State laws and the rules and regulations of the University.
Reports situations that may endanger the health, safety or well being of students or the University to
immediate supervisor. Plans and implements four programs each semester encouraging residents to
plan and implement their own activities, developing the leadership of the residents themselves.
Participates in weekly residence life staff and individual meetings with the Associate Dean of Student
Affairs. Must maintain a full time student status and a minimum cumulative GPA of at least 2.7
