Owning a small business I was required to handle every aspect of the
company. My business was mostly a one person operation, thus it was
imperative that I maintain a wide variety of both hard and soft skills.

perform either the commercial and/or residential mold inspection. Of course

and training of mild severely and physically handicapped students. I

Working for the District Attorneys Office was my introduction to an office
environment, which lead to the competency of my clerical and administrative
skills. When my fourteen year commitment ended I held the position of
Clerical Department Supervisor. As the supervisor my duties included the
general management, training and evaluation of clerical employees,
operations, and legal assignments for the Gang Homicide and Narcotics
units. As the team's lead I performed a wide variety of technically complex
clerical work. I handled all the processing of both misdemeanor and felony
complaints, prepared subpoenas, transcribed police and other agency
interviews, and provided appropriate personal with detailed reports. I was
required to create and maintain victim/witness lists for various cases, and
conduct the processing and filing of motions. It was pertinent that I
maintain strong customer service/professional skills as I continually had
direct contact with the general public as well as government agencies, such
as police departments, ATF, FBI, probation units, courts, and other law
agencies.
