OBJECTIVE
Competent self-starter seeking a position with growth potential. I am
looking for an opportunity to display that I can be a valuable asset to any
company's organization.
EXPERIENCE
2006-2010: Gwaltney of Smithfield, Ltd., 601 North Church Street,
Smithfield, VA 23430-1221, 757-***-****
Served as an independent Inspector over the Quality Assurance section of
the Production Department. Ensured that meat is properly packaged and
stored under U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) regulations before
shipment to customers such as Wal-Mart, Food Lion, Bloom's, and other large
markets, both foreign and domestic. Some of my daily duties included
ensuring incoming raw materials meet government HACCP requirements,
overseeing that meat is properly mixed with the right solution of 'Pork
Broth' and injected at the correct percentages, and that no foreign
material exists in the finished products. My focus was on pre-priced
packaged products to Wal-Mart. My job was to correctly verify current
prices and ensure the styling of the products met our customers
specifications and USDA requirements. As an Inspector, I ensured that all
employees are meeting our standards of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
I am also trained and certified to test sample employees and products under
our SQL program.
2003-2006: Kinyo Virginia Inc., 290 Enterprise Drive, Newport News, VA
23603 U.S.A., Phone 757-***-****
As an employee at Kinyo, I worked as an Operator in the Chemical Mixing
Department. My duties included working in four different sections on the
department to facilitate the process of making printing blankets. While
working in the lab I had to correctly weigh various chemicals to set the
beginning process of making blankets. The second area, blending, was where
the chemical mix was added to an industrial sized mixer. That with the
correctly weighed amount of rubber created a compound to then be placed on
a mill. Milling as it was called, allowed the compound to blend even
further while on a timer and the Operator would then blend it by knife,
creating two equal sized rolls to be placed into the next stage of drying.
After drying, the rolls would then be set up for the next department to
continue the process of making a printing blanket. I was also certified as
a pallet jack operator. Kinyo was ISO 9001 certified prior to my
departure.
2002-2003: Cassette Operations Engineer, Material Handler, Production
Support Services (PSS), 563 J. Clyde Morris Blvd Suite J, Newport News VA
While working under PSS I was assigned to Canon Virginia in Newport News.
My job there was initially to be a material handler who kept a thorough
count of inventory and to distribute the associated parts to various areas
throughout the plant. I did very well on my assignment, to much praise,
before I was asked to try another position. The next seven months I worked
with the assembly lines in helping to develop the cassette (a make shift
drawer for holding the printer paper) for their latest model of printer. I
worked an average of 10-13 hours in a single day to help develop over 300
per day. On some occasions (given the right partner), that same amount was
achieved within less than 8 hours. Due to budget cut backs I was laid off
as a temporary employee.
