Objective:
To manage service department, personnel, and inventories to
increase
customer satisfaction, improving sales, and thereby
guaranteeing
company success. As a electronic technician, performing
timely and
accurate repairs to component level of pcb's and
equipment.
Experience:
1971-1975, US Air Force trained and certified to repair
airborne avionics
systems. My entire tenure was with SR71 "blackbirds", in
support of the
repair of slide-looking mapping radar systems and
navigational aids.
1975-1986, Became lead technician for Stereo Studio Inc.,
repairing all
types of audio and video electronics. Within two years
after that, I became
manager of the service department, having several
technicians and stores.
1986-1987, Briefly supported the service department of
Douglas TV Inc,
specializing in audio systems due to my extensive
knowledge of the subject.
1987-2006, Managed and operated all aspects of service and
support for
Sounds Deluxe Inc. Besides the day to day component level
repairing of all
types of audio and video components, I also supported
sales, auto and
home installation departments when difficult technical
issues occurred
with the setup, operation, or functionality of any and all
products.
2006-2010, Recently, I accepted the task of technician II
with B.E.S.T. Inc.
(Business Electronics Soldering Technology) I performed
test and repair
of Teredyne Corp. loop diagnostic units, known as LDU's,
troubleshooting
an entire family of pcb's to component level. Maintaining
a repair database,
custom test stations and various computers were also
required.
