An engineer with over 20 years experience in the engineering industry. I
have proven success in product design and development, production
management, project management and customer liaison within the commercial,
military and oil & gas sectors.
Employment History
Senior Project Engineer
NSI Upstream Inc, Broussard, Louisiana June 2008 - Present
. NSI Upstream is an industrial software manufacturing and services company
focusing on upstream oil and gas companies. NSI Upstream manufactures a
well, facility and reservoir surveillance and management suite that is
used by several of the largest independent oil companies in the world to
manage their largest and most valuable assets.
. I am responsible for the design, development, testing and commissioning
of Production Data Management Systems (PDMS), SCADA and Process Control
and Safety systems on facilities for Murphy Oil, Stone Energy, Total USA,
Petrobras and other operators.
. I designed and developed the Production Data Management System for the
Petrobras Cascade & Chinook project. This development consists of the
worlds first floating production, storage and offloading vessel (FPSO) in
the Gulf of Mexico.
. I designed, installed and commissioned the updated PDMS and well test
system on the Mississippi Canyon 109 Amberjack facility operated by Stone
Energy.
. Proven success in the design of Human-Machine Interfaces for production
data management systems.
. Design, development and integration of SCADA systems for the oil and gas
industry.
Senior Electronics Technician
Power Control Services, Lafayette, February 2008 - June 2008
Louisiana

busy industrial electronics repair house.
Principal Electrical Engineer
BAE Systems Submarine Solutions, January 2003 - November 2007
Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria, UK
. I was employed within the Electrical Design Department with
responsibilities for all Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) issues
relating to the Astute nuclear submarine programme for the British Navy.
. I successfully designed, implemented and managed the cableway assessment
process, whereby cable type segregation distances can be reduced or novel
shielding methods used, at controlled risk, to allow integration of
cableways onto the submarine in line with relevant standards.
. I implemented and managed the compartment visualisation process, whereby
electrical equipment within individual boat compartments could be easily
and effectively assessed for potential interference problems. This was
done using the 3D CAD model of the submarine.
. I project-managed and carried out all on-board EMC testing activities in
support of the submarine commissioning program.
. I was responsible for the preparation of all documentation in support of
design and testing activities, including test plans and test reports.
. I supervised and supported drawing office, design department, operations
and commissioning engineers on all electrical issues.

matters.
. I was responsible for the design and development of all aspects of
company products, including all electrical and electronic design,
prototype manufacture and test, PCB layout, hardware design, design of
enclosures and front panel layouts.
. I successfully designed, developed and brought to market the Reflexsonic
signal generator, speed of sound experiment equipment and Model 45
ratemeter.
. I was responsible for planning and implementation of production schedules
to meet delivery deadlines.
