WORK EXPERIENCE

Detachment; Oversaw over 60 million dollars in Defense Logistic

Agency, Navy and Corpus Christi Army Depot (CCAD) owned inventory;

Logistics Support Representative - for U.S. Navy mine warfare ships

stationed at Naval Station Ingleside and deployed overseas. Maintain and

develop positive business relationships with a customer's key personnel

involved in or directly relevant to a logistics activity. Maintain and

Receive government furnished material and process receipt ensuring all

material is accurately and properly documented. Store material in

designated areas marked for Navy ship repair availabilities. Issue repair

material to area shipyard to fulfill material requirements.

Use knowledge of ships systems and equipments from prior military service

onboard mine-hunting ships. Analyze logistic deficiencies and propose

solutions to increase effectiveness. Monitor status and effectiveness of

material support. Knowledgeable in configuration management and logistics

product development.

In check material received at FISC Ingleside for accuracy, quantity,

damage, and quality assurance. Issue material for stock to area ships,

shore commands as well as other customers. Process Depot Level

Repairables for turn in to the ATAC agent.

Perform quality assurance on issued material to verify inventory

accuracy. Responsible for the shelf life program. Ensures all shelf life

material in stock has not expired, and disposes of expired items using

current guidelines. Perform duties as Transportation Assistant including

processing material for shipment to DOD activities in CONUS and overseas

via FEDEX air and ground and various trucking companies. Prepared

Commercial Bills of Lading.

Navy Storekeeper - In charge of ship's budget; Maintained shipboard

inventory of approximately 1900 line items worth an estimated 1.3 million

dollars. Performed all financial functions associated with the Navy

Supply System procedures. Ordered initial allowance of material and

technical manuals. Broad knowledge of ships, ship systems and

equipments. Respond to customer and supplier inquiries about order

status, changes, or cancellations. Compile, review, and maintain data

from contracts, purchase orders, requisitions, and other documents in

order to assess supply needs. Check shipments when they arrive to ensure

that orders have been filled correctly and that goods meet

specifications. Compare prices, specifications, and delivery dates in

order to determine the best bid among potential suppliers.Compare

suppliers' bills with bids and purchase orders in order to verify

accuracy. Confer with engineering and purchasing personnel and vendors

regarding stock procurement and availability. Determine proper storage

methods, identification, and stock location based on turnover,

environmental factors, and physical capabilities of facilities.Review

requisition orders in order to verify accuracy, terminology, and

specifications. Check figures, postings, and documents for correct entry,

mathematical accuracy, and proper codes. Operate computers programmed

with accounting software to record, store, and analyze information.

Supply System Defense Logistics Agency.
