Manage health, safety and environmental affairs responsibilities

for process/natural cheese production facility of 400+ union and

non-union employees.

. Develop and implement all health, safety and environmental

programs and related training to maintain compliance with

OSHA, NFPA, EPA, DOT and WDNR standards.

. Complete all record keeping activities to maintain OSHA 300

logs, company injury records and MSDS files.

Improvements implemented

a low of $125,000.

. Decreased injury rates; recordables down from a high of 53

per year to a low of 13, lost time cases from high of 25 to a

low of 4 and DART rate down from 7.3 to a low of 1.28.

. Developed and implemented site hazardous materials team

(level A) and conduct continuing training, on-site drills,

and cooperative drills with Sheboygan County Hazmat Team.

. Implemented on-site occupational therapy program to gain

employees early treatment for occupational injuries and to

reduce development of workers compensation claims.

. Designed and introduced behavior-based safety incentive

systems for supervisory and hourly personnel.

. Developed disciplinary action tracking system for hourly and

supervisory personnel to ensure consistent administration and

follow-through on policy implementation.

. Developed safety logo program and implemented hourly safety

incentive and reward systems.

. Converted all safety training formats to Microsoft PowerPoint

and implemented computer-based training systems for use by

site supervisor personnel.
