To Whom It May Concern:
I am acquiring about the position of Exceptional Family Member
Liaison with your company. I found out about the position on Indeed.com on
Sunday, October 10, 2010. I believe my education and background will be a
great asset to the company.
While working on my bachelor's degree at the University of Southern
Mississippi, I received a certification in Pharmaceuticals Sales by the
American Pharmaceutical Sales Association. I have leadership abilities and
possess the drive and motivation that your company needs for these
positions. In addition I have worked with the Lamar County School
District for over 5 years. I have worked with the county schools and the
Parent as Teachers Center. I also assist by going into the schools and
implement programs that help students who do not score high on state
testing and also underprivileged students who do not have the resources and
funds for tutors and other individuals to help improve the quality of their
education. The director of Title One has also become the parent liaison for
the school district. Being his assistant I was responsible for helping
troubled and disadvantaged families and children in our communities that go
to one of our eleven schools get the resources and supplies they need for
the students graduate and get ready for college, or to enter the work
force. I was previously employed by Pine Belt Mental Health as a case
manager for the Achieve Our Potential Program. This is a program for teens
that are at risk, and have emotional and behavioral problems. The Achieve
Our Potential Program works with adolescents between the ages of 12-17. As
a case manager I organize and coordinate services and support for children
with mental health issues and their families. I also work closely with the
Lamar County Youth Court System because my clients have been referred to
the program by the youth court system.
I enjoy working with the mentally ill, and have creative ideas to make
their treatment successful. I am an individual who is a self starter, and I
am working on furthering my education to become a psychiatric nurse
practitioner.
For the past ten years I have been a community advocate for
education, I am a mentor to underprivileged and troubled children. I also
started a tutoring program through my church where I tutor students in my
community and church. I work with the children as an advocate between the
schools and community by coaching and mentoring them on the path to
success. If the program that I have not implemented through my church does
not assist the students in every aspect, I also work with the schools
through the programs that my job has implanted to help the students get the
attention and help that they need to become successful in life as well as
through their educational needs. I also possess a Psychology degree from
the University of Southern Mississippi. Attached is a copy of my resume
that shows more of my achievements, and job history. Thanking you in
advance for your favorable consideration in this matter.
Sincerely,
Aisha Logan
