Brandy L Jones
Knoxville, TN
To whom it may concern,
I have three years experience in various veterinary related fields
and recently graduated with a B.S. in Agriculture with a concentration in
Veterinary Medicine from Morehead State University. Veterinary medicine is
more than just a job it is a passion. I am a hard worker with the desire to
learn as much as possible. I have a strong work ethic and excellent
customer service skills.
I have worked for the past five months in a high volume low cost spay
and neuter clinic in Barboursville, WV. I have worked as a surgical
technician and a veterinary technician. On an average day the veterinarian
performs 50-60 spay and neuters on dogs, cats and other small mammals. It
is a very fast paced environment that requires attention to detail,
organization and excellent customer service skills. When I am not assisting
in surgery, I am responsible for outpatient care, which consists of
preliminary exams, administering medication and educating owners on
flea/tick preventatives, heartworm medicines and general animal care.
Prior to working at the spay/neuter clinic, I worked as a veterinary
technician in a busy clinic in Paintsville, KY. My responsibilities
included both kennel work and assisting the veterinarian. The kennel work
included feeding, watering, and medicating animals as directed. Cleaning
and sanitizing the kennels were also a twice a day task. As tech, it was
also my responsibility to educate customers on general pet care, heartworm
preventatives and flea/tick control. I have worked with mostly small
animals and some exotics (birds, various reptiles) but also have experience
with large animals (cattle, horses, swine, sheep).
I am available for full time work upon providing two weeks notice to
my current work place and am available holidays and weekends as needed.
Thank you for your time,
Brandy Jones
