EMBRY-RIDDLE AERONAUTICAL UNIVERSITY
Daytona Beach, FL
Bachelor of Science, Aerospace Engineering
December 2006
Area of concentration: Astronautics
COURSEWORK: Aircraft Structures I, II, Aerodynamics I, II, Turbines and
Rocket Engines,
Spacecraft Preliminary/Detail Design, Experimental Aerodynamic
Laboratory, Electrical Engineering Laboratory, Airplane
Stability and Control, Space Mechanics, Spacecraft Attitude
Dynamics Control, Control Systems Analysis.
Senior Design Project -Rocket- Helped coordinate efforts amongst a 9 person
team to design a rocket capable of carrying a specified payload to a
designated orbital altitude. Performed calculations to design the rocket
engine for the third stage including combustion chamber, nozzle, fuel
manifold, thrust vectoring, and injectors. Presented design to faculty and
students.
Wing Design - Used NASTRAN to design and model a wing for a lightweight
aircraft. NASTRAN analysis included stress-strain models and deflection
models to determine the structural integrity of the wing due to in-flight
loading. The software analysis was then compared to hand calculations.
The results were similar producing very little percent difference.
Wind Tunnel Lab - Used wind tunnel testing procedures to learn how to
extrapolate, interpret, and analyze various forms of data, then apply that
data to theory from aerodynamics and fluid mechanics to form a conclusion
on the various aerodynamic characteristics of the model being tested.
Design: NASTRAN, AutoCAD, CATIA V5
Software: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Windows
MATLAB v.7.0
Languages: C++

Graphics Illustrator
Mar 2009 - Current
. Create GM dealer catalog illustrations using Tech Illustrator CAD
software.
. Worked on illustrations for the Corvette, HHR, Volt, and Buick Regal
to name a few.
. Illustrations are designed to help dealers reference the appropriate
parts needed to repair vehicles. Every aspect of the vehicle is
disassembled and illustrated with flow lines showing how a particular
mechanical or structural component is assembled.
. Graphical data showing parts and assemblies are uploaded from the GM
database as 3D mathdata models. The uploaded 3D illustrations are
exploded and outlined captured to a 2D format using the Tech
Illustrator CAD software.
. Productivity of work output is measured each quarter. Completed
illustrations are quality checked to ensure accurate representation of
GM vehicles. Required output each quarter is at least 90% with a
quality of at least 90%. I exceed the requirements each quarter
averaging 100% for output and 98.5% for quality.

. Communicated with customers to establish an understanding of their home
project needs, then helped them select the best suited merchandise and
recommended an appropriate step by step building procedure
