OBJECTIVE: To obtain a challenging position where I can utilize the
skills and knowledge I have
acquired over the years.
EXPERIENCE: Langraf Construction - Superintendent, 2006 to
December, 2008
I started with Landgraf Construction managing
construction of a four-story mixed-use commercial
building. The building consisted of wood framing1st
thru 4th floors, underground parking with spancrete
deck, retail on the first floor, condos on floors 1 -
4, a 100,000 sq ft building. Excavation had begun
when I started with the project, from that point to
finish I met all deadlines and budgets. I also
worked on several other projects as per my enclosed
job list I also acquired subs, negotiated contracts,
scheduled work and managed the work force. Quality
control and safety was always a major concern.
Landgraf is a small General Contractor company and I
reported directly to the owner.
Treuthardt Construction - Owner/operator, 2002
to 2006/ 1991-1997
In 1991, I started a small construction company
and within a year had expanded to a 4 man crew.
Construction jobs included remodeling, additions, siding, roofing,
window installation,
and insulation. I also completed commercial jobs as
general contractor under this company from the years
2002 to 2006. I conducted all duties such as
salesman, job estimator, project manager and job
superintendent. I secured subcontractors, negotiated
contracts, scheduled and organized work along with
implementing strong Safety Standards.
Prism Corporation - Job Superintendent, 1997 to 2002
In 1997, I started with Prism Corporation as a lead
carpenter. After six months of employment
I secured the position of Traveling Job
Superintendent. I managed the construction of
structural
steel buildings, churches and elderly living
complexes. Prism was a larger company with 150
employees. Most operations were completed in house
so scheduling was a very important
detail. Cooperation was critical with project
managers and other personnel to keep the jobs
on schedule.
EDUCATION: Associates Degree in Business Management - MATC, Madison.
As of fall 2009 I enrolled in ITT-TECH for my BA in
Construction Management & Associates Degree in
Computer Drafting and Design.
ATTRIBUTES: I have been a Hunter Education Instructor since 1990
instructing with an average of 50 students
per class per year. I have also coached youth sports
for the past 10 years. Over the years I have been
involved in different clubs and organizations and
have organized and overseen many types of
fundraisers, from small specialize fundraisers for my
softball team to banquet style fundraisers that raise
50,000 dollars in one night. I am currently
commissioner of our youth community basketball teams.
I am also president of our pool league.
I believe all these experiences have attributed to my
leadership skills by adding patience, understanding,
and giving me knowledge on how to work with diverse
groups of people.
