Quality Engineer
. Worked as a college Co-Op from 5/2006 to 12/2007 - trained directly
under Quality Control Engineer in New Product Intro Group working on
developmental parts.
. Predominantly worked on developmental castings for the Rolls Royce
Trent 1000 aircraft engine, which was purpose designed for the Boeing
787 "Dreamliner" airplane. The design focused on reliability and
efficiency, which is a key factor in product competition with other
aircraft engine manufacturers.
. Travelled to Bilbao, Spain to meet face-to-face with Japanese,
Spanish, English, and American representatives of the Rolls Royce
engine manufacturing process as part of an on-going effort to improve
relations and assure product quality and on-time delivery.
. Selected to travel to Michigan to attend a casting course Non-
Destructive Inspection testing, involving Fluorescent Penetration
testing, X-ray testing, and metallurgy
. Completed Root Cause and Corrective action documentation to resolve
non-conformant production and improve product quality as well as
gather and format data for reports and Production Permits.
. Worked closely with other engineers in a team environment during
extremely fast paced re-design programs.
