Big Ceda r Lodge: M ay 2010 - Current - Director of Marketing- I n charge of driving all business and
marketing efforts in a very statistical and goal oriented environment. Overall driving forces include
i ncreasing RevPAR and APR. Tools used to reach these goals are development, distribution and
t racking of eight monthly e-newsletters, development of packages and offerings, development of year-
long community events, development of all advertising including t raditional and a full online and social
media plans, and working with, developing and implementing plans for eight outlets t reated like
separate business entities. Extensive business and marketing plans and budgets are created and
monitored on a daily basis to assist in achieving goals. In charge of directing the entire marketing staff
and play a vital role in the overall leadership team of the property including developing and driving
long term strategic plans for this 600-person business.
B ranson Tourism Center: October 2008-March 2010 - Director of Marketing & Sales - I n charge of
a ll marketing efforts for this 100-person firm including printed materials, e-newsletter, multiple
websites and miscellaneous projects. Oversaw and assisted with the development of a new website from
concept to finished site. Created new corporate brochure and oversaw new design of promotional
b rochure. In charge of all content for these projects. Led team on SEO management and
i mplementation, Paid Search and Organic Search Optimization. Created and implemented a social
media marketing plan including Facebook, Twit ter and MySpace.
T he Chedda r BLOCK: April 2007 - December 2008- Owner & Operator - C reated concept, wrote
business plan and operated daily business including accounting, all marketing, employee management
and inventory management. The Cheddar BLOCK was a gourmet cheese and food store in Springfield,
M issouri.
B utler, Rosenbury & Pa rtners: February 2005-June 2007 - Director of Business Development -
D irector of Business Development for this 70-person national architecture fi rm. Main priority was
researching, contacting and establishing new business relationships and clients. In charge of all
marketing material and communication including website, brochures, proposals and miscellaneous
marketing materials and promotions. Worked on a daily basis with a 20 plus board of directors and
leadership team.
New York Life I nsurance Company: J uly 2002 - February 2005 - Sales Agent - Served as an agent
for this highly respected insurance company. Managed correspondence with potential clients and
developed clients while following strict federal regulations. Continuously, met or exceeded sales goals
i ncluding number of policies sold. Achievements included being the number two agent for number of
cases sold for the Kansas City General Office.
Henderson Engineers: A ugust 1998 - July 2002 - Director of National Marketing - D irector of
National Marketing for this world-wide engineering company. In charge of marketing and developing
new retail and restaurant national clients. This included researching and contacting national retail
and restaurant businesses face-to-face and converting them into long-term clients. Clients obtained
i ncluded Old Navy, California Pizza Kitchen and dozens of other nationally known businesses. In
charge of all marketing communications including proposals, direct mail campaigns, and all marketing
materials. Also, oversaw conception, creation and development of new website and three new business
