Objective:
To use my experience as a journalist and editor, my personal drive, and my
work ethic to enhance the capabilities of a local company.
Work Experience:
November 23, 2009, to December 3, 2009
I worked as a subcontractor for URS Washington Division for the National
ID/IQ Request for Proposals. I edited the technical portion of the proposal
and the introductions to the Cost Volume sections.
April 2008 to November 9, 2009
I have worked as a subcontractor for the Closure & Waste Disposal Authority
at the Savannah River Site. In this capacity I have assisted in the
production of performance assessments for the F-Tank Farm and the Saltstone
Disposal Facility. Part of my work on these projects was to coordinate
references for the documents and to get them approved by site reviewers for
release to the public. Standard editing and coordination of other projects
were also included in the assignment. I have also prepared presentations
for the managers of the department to deliver to site personnel, as well as
state and federal regulators. I also served as the subject matter expert
for the division for compliance with copyright regulations, as defined by
site legal counsel.
April 2007 to December 2007
I assisted Production Coordinator James Sheppard with the SRS M&O and
Liquid Waste proposals for URS Washington Group. While working on these
projects, I also managed the assembly of binders for the Best and Final
Offer for the West Valley Demonstration Project. During the SRS projects, I
edited resumes and technical volume sections throughout the proposal
process. I also coordinated the assembly of binders and printing
activities, managing outside printer support, determining binder size and
quantity, and oversaw the exact contents of each binder for delivery to the
customer. While working on the Liquid Waste contract, I coordinated the
production and assembly of the extensive Cost Volume, as well as editing
other sections of the proposal. Part of my duties included the preparation
of materials for presentation to company stakeholders. I also participated
in document control activities and managed a document library.

I was employed by the Aiken Standard in a number of different capacities.
My job responsibilities ranged from writer, to desk editor, to City Editor,
to Senior Writer.

of the newspaper and was responsible for writing editorials and the design
of pages, when needed. I was also called upon to help design pages for the

to video some of the news events I covered and to help upload the videos to
the company's website. I also helped to edit and upload the paper's daily
afternoon website newspaper for subscribers.
April 1995 to June 2002: Copy Editor
During this time I served as a copy editor, Desk Chief, and City Editor. My
