Patient Services Rep/Pharmacy Benefit Specialist
As a Pharmacy Benefit Specialist one must provide prescription
drug plan information to plan members are required. Explain
benefit & prize advantage on prescriptions. And as a Pharmacy
Benefits Specialist one must answers inbound calls and make
outgoing calls to and from new and existing patients as well as
physician offices and internal departments in order to facilitate
the work process. Determine documentation required to ensure
the successful delivery and billing of supplies, completes
assigned workflow, and accurately enters all data into the
computer system.
Patient Service Representatives are responsible for servicing
patients via inbound calls, responding to their inquiries and
determining the appropriate actions. The qualified team player
must have the ability to maintain a professional demeanor in a
high call volume environment, a demonstrated commitment to
outstanding customer service, and familiarity with Windows and
internet based PC programs. Excellent verbal communication
skills are required and previous experience in a call center
environment is helpful.
