temper, harden, and heat-treat metal and plastics.

My responsibilities consisted of supervising and coordinating production
schedules within the heat treat department. Trained personnel on department
functions and responsibilities. Enforced departmental and general company
guidelines. Assisted with the implementation of manufacturing instruction
sheets.
Chemical Operator - April 1973 to November 1982
Monsanto, Decatur, Al
Controlled systems that processed chemical substances into specified
industrial products. Read plant specifications to ascertain product,
ingredients, and prescribed modifications of plant procedures. Manipulated
controls to regulate feed of liquids through equipment in specified timing
and sequence, or start automatic feed. Set up and adjusted indicating and
controlling devices to facilitate simultaneous analysis and control of
process conditions. Observed gauges, signals, and recording instruments,
turned valves, and manipulated controls to regulate temperatures,
pressures, and flow of steam, coolant, and chemical constituents through
system to effect prescribed reaction within critical limits. Patrolled work
area to inspect equipment for leaks and hazards and to record gauge
readings.Setup tread roller machines for treading tie rods.
