General Accounting Assistant, North State Grocery
I was employed in the Corporate Office Accounting Dept for North State
Grocery. We had 15 Holiday Quality Food stores and 5 Sav Mor stores
located in Northern California. I was responsible for the A/R on all
Customer Charge Accounts for the 20 stores and the A/R Vendor
Accounts, in which I processed the billing and payments for the buyers
and the warehouse. This included the rebates for these accounts. I
handled the A/P for all repairs, maintenance, utilities, phone bills,
security and office supplies for all the stores and corporate office.

Money Orders, Lottery and Lotto, Paid Outs, Coupons, Cash and
Collections, Deposits and Bank Recons. I also handled the returned
WIC checks and the Money Orders for returned personal checks. I
headed a project to find ways to reduce the amount of WIC checks that
were returned from the bank. This greatly reduced the amount of bank
