Resume:

October *th, ****

Burns & McDonnell World Headquarters

**** **** *******

Kansas City, MO 64114

To Whom It May Concern:

Embedded at the center of our nation's community, Burns & McDonnell

exemplifies strong roots and customer satisfaction, two qualities which I

can closely relate to. Growing up on a farm in Kansas I was taught that

with solid values and a lot of determination, one could achieve almost

certain success, but I also learned never to forget about your neighbor's

happiness along the way. For these reasons and not alone is why I am

applying for the Communications Coordinator position at your company.

Just as Burns & McDonnell has branched out to locations around the world, I

too have gained a vast amount of career experience by reaching beyond my

home borders. After graduating from Kansas State University with a degree

in journalism and a minor in environmental geography, I received an

invitation to join the CBSTV2 news team in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands.

In two years at this station, I excelled to one of the top general

assignment reporters, fill-in anchor and achieved the position of Acting

News Director. Responsible daily for gathering interviews, writing copy

and shooting video on a tight deadline, my organization and time management

skills became polished. I even had time to welcome added tasks, such as,

manning the teleprompter, operating studio cameras, technical directing and

learning what it takes to put together a great newscast: teamwork,

flexibility and critical decision making. As the Acting News Director, I

successfully managed two busy newsrooms, assigned stories, selected news

content, ordered graphics, covered press conferences, edited copy and

directed the evening news.

Additional skills in communications were obtained with my most previous

employer, Lambert Media Team. At this advertising and marketing firm I

wrote press releases for our Production Company, various clients and

Project Safe Neighborhoods, a non-profit non-violence committee. My daily

activities also included designing brochures, organizing submittals for

awards, assisting in production, maintaining client relations and research,

editing video, writing copy and scripts, providing story board concepts and

serving as key editor of web and commercial content. I also acted as on-

air talent for public service announcements and various promotions. Being

part of such multi-faceted teams overall has instilled a high level of

professionalism and expertise.

I have recently moved back home to Kansas and look forward to a possible

interview to further discuss how I would be a valuable asset to the Burns &

Mac family. Thank you for your attention.

Sincerely,

Gina Ninemire
