2007-2008
While deployed during Operation Enduring Freedom VIII, I acted as the lead
analyst for my section, distributing daily intelligence products to aid
missions, participating in cultural research as part of the job, as well as
giving daily intelligence briefings to my section leader and battalion
commander, and monitoring mIRC chat rooms for all relevant and current
intelligence in our area of operations, as well as monitoring all Blue
Force Tracker communications as our convoys were on the move. I drilled
down specifically on air and ground threats to aid our convoys on missions
across 20,000 miles of battle space, specifically IED pattern analysis,
route analysis, and terrain analysis. During that time I created a product
for our convoys and a shell for out CONOPS. in which we briefed to our
brigade and division commanders, which set the standard for all products
for Combat Logistics Patrols from then on out. Area of expertise: Paktika,
Paktya, Khowst, Ghazi, and Logar provinces.
ALL-SOURCE INTELLIGENCE ANALYST
HHC/782nd BSB, 82nd Airborne Division - Ft. Bragg, North Carolina
2006-2008
While stationed at Fort Bragg, my main responsibility as a battalion S-2
was to initiate and maintain the security clearances for over 500 battalion
personnel. I became a subject matter expert in the E-QIP process, filed SF
86's, and worked extensively using JPAS. I was also responsible for
briefing the battalion commander on weekly intelligence briefings for both
Iraq and Afghanistan. Additionally, I participated in many training
sessions in culture and intelligence as well as biometrics equipment to
prepare to deploy during Operation Enduring Freedom. Ensured physical
security was met in all four companies, consisting of over 400 personnel,
as well as the four company arms rooms, holding over 400 weapons, ensuring
the arms rooms were ready for a corps-level inspection.
