WORK EXPERIENCE
Owner/Operator
May 2009 - December 2009
Destiny's Dog Bath and Beyond
Destiny's Dog Bath was a self serve dog wash and treat cafe. We offered homemade dog treats
and also sold dog supplies.
I was responsible for the day to day operation of this small store. I loved dealing with dog people
on a daily basis, it made me very happy but unfortunately we quickly found out that the
Nicholasville community would not support a venture of this type.

Repack Department Supervisor
May 2005 - April 2009
Trany Logistics America Lexington, KY
Transport and Storage - Materials
In this position I supervised up to 45 people. The purpose of my department was to receive
automotive components from overseas that are packaged in cardboard containers for safe travel
by boat. My department was responsible for taking those components from their cardboard
shipping boxes and repackaging them in poly boxes approved by Toyota Motor Manufacturers to
be used lineside. My responsibilities as the Department Supervisor were as follows: Each week I
was given a target number of pieces per each of 30 part numbers that are to be repacked. (ex:
25,000 pcs) With that target production number I planned out the timing and quantity of each
part number to be completed each day. I had to prioritize which parts should be packaged first
based on the finished goods inventory days on hand and the available finished goods inventory
space. I conducted daily warehouse space audits both visually and by computer with the in-house
warehouse management system. I also viewed the Toyota supplier website that gives me
inventory days on hand for the parts I repack so that I had current inventory information to
prioritize my production. Using our computer system I made all the labels(kanban) for each
finished goods box we complete. I wrote work orders that instruct my forklift driver which part I
need, which design level, how many of each part and which repack station that part needs to be
placed in for completion. I am responsible for any problems my operators may experience in
repacking their parts including figuring out missed scans, computer problems, packaging
problems, etc.. I keep daily production records of what my team has produced and what I need to
produce to reach my production target. I must communicate with QA, shipping and receiving
leaders and our onsite customer (supplier) to insure that their needs are met by my team in a
timely manner. I am responsible for team member performance reviews, disciplinary action, and
coaching and training. I also interview and hire full time employees and acquire temporary
employees as needed. I also must alert our customer of inventory shortages that prevent me from
reaching my goal. This department was started up a year ago from scratch by my company. There
was little or no direction for this department from start up. I have had to make it happen through
trial and error and have enjoyed the experience. I have run this department on my own from start
up with very little to no supervision from my superiors.
Multi tasking, supervision, problem solving, organization skills, verbal and oral communications,
maintaining an excellent relationship with my customers. Computer skills with Microsoft excel
and word.,
