for Office Depot which includes all major financial, CRM and Order

Management modules (AP, AR, GL, FA, PO, OM, CRM) with a team of 80 +

onsite and 50 + offshore resource.

Responsibilities:

. Administration of Oracle application 11i & DB RAC 10g development,

staging and production environments.

. Building, cloning and maintaining single, multinode and external node

instances.

. Creating processes for DBA support to improve productivity and

tracking.

. Analyzing and applying patches to DB, ASM, CRS and application.

. Performed 10.2.0.4 upgrade on ASM, CRS, DB and OEM.

R10.7 to 11.5.10.2 with database upgrade from 7.3.4 to 10.1.0.5.

The project is the initiative taken by the Sony Electronics to upgrade its

oracle applications form an older version of 10.7 to the latest version

11.5.10.2.This project contained lot of technical challenge on DBA

perspective. More than 10 official upgrades and many internal upgrades was

performed to optimize the process.

Responsibilities:

. Involved in creating and configuring instances for the upgrade cycle.

. Upgrading applications from 10.7 to 11.5.10.2, troubleshooting issues

during upgrade and optimizing the process on each upgrade to reduce

the overall downtime.

. Performed 10+ official test upgrades from 10.7 to 11.5.10.2 and

successfully upgraded production.

. Used adaimgr for performing the auto upgrade from 10.7/11.0.3 to 11i.

. Applied Maintenance packs, Family packs and one-of patches.

. Involved in planning cut over activities and implementing the same.

. Upgrading database 7.3.4 to 9i, 9i to 10g, 10.1.0.4 to 10.1.0.5.
