Over 16 years post graduate experience as licensed substance abuse and
mental health professional, including 8.5 years working overseas with the
Army in Germany, and stateside with the Air Force in Virginia
Clinical supervisor for Military and Family Life Consultant Victim
Advocates (MFLC VA) at 19 Family Advocacy Programs across the US involving
46, daylight and on call advocates, and six Special Operations Command
consultants (SOCOM MFLC) at SOCOM locations within CONUS
Expertise with military protocols, customs and culture including helping
military members and families deal with stress about deployments,
redeployments, separating from the military, family relationships re:
school, divorce, violence and maltreatment, substance abuse and mental

Extensive background in program administration, operation and technical
planning as seen in role as Executive Director (ED) for substance abuse and

over 25 companies over a 15 year period of time, and by working
successfully with adolescents in creating, directing and planning an after
school program designed to increase developmental assets as they
participated in a volunteer community involvement program
As ED, wrote policies and procedures that successfully allowed for full
licensing and accreditation as both an outpatient substance abuse and
mental health facility, prepared and executed budgets and proposals for
continued funding, and hired, trained and mentored professional staff (of
five to ten employees) for over a ten year period of time.

resources, safety, security, and overall employee concerns
Provided general adult educational and career development counseling to
both military and civilian personnel who were preparing to leave/retire
from the military
Designed, implemented and managed individual, family, and group counseling

services received
Knowledgeable of Employee Assistance Program policies and protocols in risk
management areas such as: substance abuse, DOT, workplace violence, ADA

National Trainer for Crisis Management Inc. (CMI) since 1998. Was chosen
over 250 other applicants to be trained to present two-day trainings to
other Master's and PhD level clinicians on Corporate Critical Incident
Response and Threat of Violence Consultation. Was one of the first
responders for CMI to New York City on September 12, 2001. Worked as a
consultant for five large corporations for 2.5 weeks in NYC.
As a National trainer for Crisis Management International, in Atlanta,
Georgia, rewrote the 16 hour training for corporate crisis response and
then trained it in cities across the U.S. including: New York City, Mobile,
Alabama, Charleston, South Carolina, Chicago, Illinois, Minneapolis,
Minnesota, and Washington, D.C.
