elementary), investigations, courtroom observation, dispatch room, and parking enforcement.
Key Results:
Devised creative use of internet social networking websites as an investigative tool to uncover identities of 3 possible suspects in
alleged high school retaliation plot.

Assigned to complete 120 hours in observational and research forensics with direct and indirect supervision of trained forensic
serologists within the accredited CPS DNA Laboratory. Worked closely with DNA staff on real criminal cases providing insight and
assistance in handling and processing of evidence from various physical evidence sources (firearms, clothing, bodily swabs, and other
objects). Cooperatively worked and helped supervise a fellow college intern on a secondary validation study. Learned proper handling,
documentation, and processing of biological fluids for forensic evidence analysis. Performed DNA extraction, purification,
quantification, amplification, and STR analysis on a daily basis. Maintained protocols and procedures of the professional forensic

Provided key data in validation study of Promega’s PowerPlex 16 HS Human Identity Kit in concordance with Applied Biosystems
