Senior Certified Pharmacy Technician

Work as team leader under a pharmacist but over licensed technicians to:

1) Moderate workflow and have position coverage in pharmacy

2) Check in drug shipments and get them onto the shelf and into the system

3) Maintain an inventory of selected drugs and order as needed

4) Return Expired drugs

5) Fill prescriptions

6) Sell prescriptions to patient

EXPERIENCE

Walgreens july 2002 to current; Hillcrest august 2008 to September 2008

First worked up front at Walgreens as a cashier then gradually moved to stocking, then managing

the photo lab. Eventually moved back in the pharmacy where I received training to get my

license, then my certification. After a few months as a certified technician, I was promoted to a

managerial position above others as a Senior Certified Technician. Our store began to offer an

array of compounding options for our patients. I took several hours of continuing education and

learned how to compound various items including:

1) PLO gels

2) Tetracaine suckers

3) Troches

4) Suppositories

5) Other transdermal needs

Worked at Hillcrest hospital as a technician supplying and refilling nurse stations using the

PYXIS systems. Also have experience with PARATA RDS system as well.
