To whom it may concern,
I will appreciate it if you accept my application for the assistant teacher
position advertised on www.Craigslist.com. I would like to continue to
develop my teaching skills with your school. I have been working as a
teacher since 2007. In 2005 I got my AA in Arts of Education and in 2008 I
got my BA in Graphic Arts. Currently, I am taking two early childhood
classes with PATCH to get my CDA. Preschool age groups are appealing to me
because students love to learn and I enjoy helping them build confidence in
their ability to achieve knowledge.
As an educator, I have had the opportunity to work with a variety of
students including those affiliated with ADD/ ADHD, Asperser's Syndrome,
schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, learning disabilities, and behavioral
challenges. From this experience, and my calm attitude, I have been able to
remain sensitive to students' unique capabilities, and provide
individualized support.
I moved to Hawaii on June 2010 because my husband is in the U.S. Coast
Guard. We are going to live here for four years or more. My first language
is Spanish and my second is English. I believe that working as an assistant
teacher is going to make me appreciate more the Hawaiian culture and
increase my skills as a professional.
As a highly compassionate and committed educator, I welcome the opportunity
to meet you to discuss how my extensive experience and skills would benefit
your preschool program. Thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
Dalissa Nieves
