Programmer Analyst
( Developed the algorithm to find a member key when incomplete keys were
submitted electronically, allowing more electronic claims to process
correctly resulting in fewer electronic claims rejecting.
( Coded and tested the automatic payment of claims allowing 20% of
electronic claims to be automatically paid.
( Redesigned, simplified and updated documentation for Third Party
Eligibility programs. Coached users on file layout requirements and
testing methodologies.
( Created department standards for moving code to production using
Sarbanes-Oxley compliance standards
( Developed standards for generating internal and external emails using
JCL on the host.
( Tested and implemented PGP for host applications.
( Automated the Warehouse manual process of file transfers using PGP,
JCL and job scheduling. Working with the Warehouse programmers, I
identified and automated their manual process of sending transmittal forms
to external customers using SAS and host email.
( Recommended a process change to automate a weekly manual Business
Objects billing process. Using SAS I created an excel spreadsheet and an
invoice turning a 30 minute manual process into an automated process.
. Answered questions for internal and external customers about file
layouts, test files and production problems.
. Other duties include implementing enhancements, reviewing other
programmer changes, troubleshooting production abends, job scheduling and
weekly 24/7 On Call Support.
