To Whom It May Concern:

My career has spanned over twenty-five years of progressive growth by the

management of warehouse and transportation efficiencies for iconic

companies like McDonald's, Supervalu, and Kellogg (both internationally and

in the US). This solid performance has been accomplished through building

a performance based culture through lean process and performance analysis;

continuous improvement; and the establishment and maintenance of Key

Performance Indicators (KPI's) to produce sustained, positive results.

I have created a Distribution Center of Excellence in the areas of

negotiating pricing protocols with customers, suppliers, and third party

logistic providers, optimizing supply chain operations, managing multi-

facilities, directing technology implementation, ensuring a safe work

environment, and leading people to deliver world-class best practices.

I have wide-ranging procurement, logistic, supply chain, and customer

service experience:

o I interface with Operations in directing technology, strategy, and

lean operations for Kellogg Direct Store Delivery network of 43 DCs,

105 M cases, and a private fleet of 904 tractors ($212 M budget).

Implemented pick to voice and routing optimization software solutions

that have saved in excess of $3.8 M (in a SAP environment).

Represented Logistics on all Customer Top-to-Top meetings and

initiatives.

o I managed all logistical operations and 3PL SLAs for over 2.5 million

square foot of warehouse space for the delivery of $2.5 billion in

grocery and refrigerated items for Supervalu - the 3rd largest

distributor/retailer in the United States.

o Expertise at leveraging McDonald's supply chain opportunities to

reduce food and paper costs at McDonald's restaurants by over $4.0

million. These leverages were in the area of supplier consolidation,

freight optimization, creation of best practices amongst the

McDonald's distributors, and strategic sourcing of low cost / reliable

vendors for local promotional or limited supply items.

o Directed the development of a distribution strategy that consolidated

AAR Corporation's ($1 billion sales annually of airline parts and

services) warehouse network for fourteen locations to five regional

distribution centers. I also directed the development of the e-

commerce web site (www.aarcorp.com).

o Strong expertise in logistics within the McDonald's food and paper

supply chain both in the United States and in Latin America. Directed

the successful opening of a new distribution center in Sao Paulo

Brazil. In addition, I have experience working within a manufacturing

environment while on an expatriate assignment for Dalgety PLC in the

United Kingdom (pet food and agricultural businesses) by establishing

a UK supply chain that centralized distribution so that a multitude of

product lines could be shipped to customers at a savings of $4 million

annually.

I am both Customer and Operations focused and have created solutions that

consistently take into account the state of the particular business and its

financials. I have excellent communication and inter-personal relationship

skills and have established and maintained integral partnerships focused on

continuous improvement, people development, and sustained results. I am

skilled at communicating within an hourly associate environment as well as

an executive board room. Please review my background on the attached

resume and I would very much appreciate the opportunity to review with you

in detail my credentials.

I look forward to speaking with you soon.

Sincerely,

Vic Versino
