Summary My experience with the US Army gives me over 21 years experience working in the

maintenance field with the public, contractors, upper level management, internal and

external customers. My knowledge extends from quality assurance and maintenance

experience during training and deployments to fleet management along with hazardous

materials, safety inspections and reporting.

Work

Experience Jan 1989 – Present: US Army

Maintenance Supervisor; E-7 Sergeant (MOS: 91X)

• Platoon Sergeant for a forward support company in an air assault helicopter

battalion which was responsible for rapid world-wide deployment.

• Responsible for supervising, troubleshooting, servicing and maintaining 31

wheeled vehicles, 4 pieces of ground support equipment and six different weapon

systems.

• Accountable for over $500,000 worth of tools and equipment for battalion.

• Determine schedules, sequences, and assignments for work activities based on

work priority, quantity of equipment and skill of personnel.

• Monitor employees’ work levels and review performance.

• Responsible for the training, health and welfare of 10 non-commissioned officers

and 23 soldiers.

• Monitor tool and part inventories and the condition and maintenance of shops to

ensure adequate working conditions.

• Investigate accidents and injuries and prepare reports of findings.

• Recommend or initiate personnel actions, such as hires, promotions, transfers,

discharges and disciplinary measures.

• Compile operational and personnel records, such as time and production records,

inventory data, repair and maintenance policies and procedures.

• Develop, implement and evaluate maintenance policies and procedures.

• Counsel employees about work-related issues and assist employees to correct

job-skill deficiencies.

• Examine objects, systems, or facilities and analyze information to determine

needed installations, services or repairs.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).

• Trained and mentored soldiers for promotion, weapons qualifications, and

maintenance management.

• Maintained a readiness rate for fleet of 98% which exceeded desired goal of 90%.

• Conducted scheduled and unscheduled maintenance for over 350 pieces of

equipment.

• Responsible for accountability and serviceability of equipment and tools valued in

excess of $2,000,000.

• Supervised all diagnostic troubleshooting and oversaw all equipment inspections.

• Prepared, submitted and annotation of all appropriate forms and documents.

• Responsible for the health, welfare, technical and tactical guidance of 40 soldiers.

2005-2006: US Army – Maintenance Control Specialist; E7 Sergeant (MOS: 63X)

• Responsible for scheduled and non-scheduled maintenance of over 950 pieces of

equipment.

• Provided up-to-the-minute status through the use of daily, weekly and monthly
