I work as an Independent Contractor for various Mystery
Shopping Companies. A Cut Above Scheduling Services is a
company that I started on my own. As the company owner, I
wear several hats, which include, but are not limited to;
hiring/firing, training, accounts payable and receivable,
payroll, customer service and project management. I work
directly with clients to make sure that their needs are
met and that they are satisfied with my services. Due to
the instability of the economy, this position has become
very part time, at best. It has become clear that I need
to obtain a position outside of my home to support my
family.

National Recruiter/Scheduler
Responsibilities included the management of over 2500
customer service evaluations on a monthly basis.
Nationwide recruitment of qualified evaluators. Daily
communications with independent contractors. Meeting
time-sensitive deadlines and client management. Also
responsible for training newly hired office employees.
Result: Company grew from conducting 600 evaluations to
over 10,000 evaluations monthly.
Principal in the development of the Mystery Shopper
Provider Association, an organization comprised fellow
Mystery Shopping Companies that educate independent
contractors on the business and importance of customer
service evaluations. Result: Successfully increased
awareness of the Mystery Shopping Industry as well as its
importance. Since its origination in 2001, the
Association has grown from 10 to over 400 members.
Accompanied company Vice President to quarterly
conferences held throughout the United States to conduct
work shops and discussion panels consisting of fellow
Mystery Shopping Company employees and independent
contractors. Result: Successfully increased the number of
qualified independent contractors within the Industry.
Since the first workshop in 2002, the number of
"Certified Mystery Shoppers" has grown from 67 to over
15,000.
