Summary:
Over the past three years I have spent my time as a graduate student in
philosophy at the University of Utah. The experience has been exciting, as
well as challenging. However, in these difficult economic times, it has
become clear to me that entering the workforce is a more reasonable option
with regards to my future, and I am excited to start this new chapter of my
life. My years of hotel experience have given me a good understanding of
how to manage personnel, logistics, organization, and customer service. In
my education, I developed excellent written and verbal communication skill,
as it was often the case I had to take very complicated ideas and data and
write a paper that would make sense of said ideas and data. Through my
time at the hotel and with my schooling, I have become more than competent
with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. With these qualifications in
mind, I would be an excellent candidate for any job that requires one with
excellent customer service, analytical, written and verbal, organizational,
and research skills.
