I perform QC inspections of concrete placement in pavements and heavy-duty
concrete slabs in the Combat Aviation Brigade Airfield (120,000 cubic yards
+ ), ensure construction work complies with all engineering standards,
codes, specifications and design instructions, verify that all forms,
reinforcement of slabs and rebar including dowels are placed in accordance
with specifications. I supervise the placing, consolidation and finishing
of mixed concrete to ensure that all voids are eliminated through a
vibratory process, good straight edge and application of curing compound. I
verify that the expansion and construction joints are placed at proper
intervals for a good quality structure. I supervise, review and make a
report of the straight edge results after 48 hrs of placement of concrete.
CEMEX, September
2007 to November 2008

consisted of: monthly revenue, monthly distribution trips by Cemex
owned trucks, costumer pick up, contracted haulers, monthly vehicle
trips by unit type, cost to move material by ton and unit type, fuel
consumption and tire wear, vehicle maintenance, & gas mileage
efficiency. Reviewed contracts between Cemex and independent haulers,
reviewed payment requests from contract haulers, prepared and
administered department's operating and maintenance budget, (including
salary and workman's compensation).
. Cement and Fly Ash Fleet: Placed fly ash requests based on railroad
cars capacity (100 tons per railroad car). Prepared monthly reports
that inventoried fly ash, cement, and railroad cars. Coordinated
delivery of fly ash and cement from receiving yard to company batch
plants. Monitored monthly bulker's trips, gas efficiency, vehicle
maintenance, fuel consumption & tire wear.
. Dispatch and Costumer Service: Monitored daily trip schedules,
assessed vehicle trips by unit type, conducted daily meetings intended
to increase vehicle trip efficiency, coordinated deliveries with the

Grupo Cementos de Chihuahua (GCC), September
1997-September 2007
Construction Section Coordinator (Supervisor), June 2002 to September 2007
Responsible for developing strategic plans for the construction section.
Evaluated monthly sales reports and profit margins to compare against
previously set milestones and to project the section's ability to meet pre-
established goals. Expedited available resources to this section to ensure
a successful and profitable project.
. Served as project manager for GCC's premier clientele which involved
facilitating resources to make each project's success. Ensured that
products and materials were available and delivered to project sites
and payment was received from clients on various projects.
. Prepared the section's yearly operation and maintenance budget, which
included personnel salary, office and equipment, vehicles and vehicle
maintenance.
. In charge of assigning duties and new clientele/projects to 5
engineers. Reviewed schedules, revenue per product and engineer.
Promoted, encouraged and mentored subordinates for professional
development through formal training. Evaluated employee's
performance.
Technical Specialist, September 1997 to June 2002
. Designed concrete aluminum mixture used to construct 4 ft x 8 ft
cellular concrete panels.
. Implemented pilot program that utilized concrete panels to construct a
540 sq. ft. house. Light weight panels provided excellent thermal
efficiencies due to ability to expand during curing process. Pilot
program was supported and implemented in several subdivisions by
Instituto Mexicano del Cemento y del Concreto (IMCYC) (Mexican
Institute of Cement and Concrete), Instituto FONA Vivienda del
Trabajador (INFONAVIT), Pulte Internacional (a renowned international
home builder) and GCC.
. City of Juarez, Chihuahua Street Rehabilitation Project: Provided
technical professional support to City of Juarez's Chihuahua, Mexico
Street paving rehabilitation project. Project consisted of
implementing Portland Cement Concrete to replace aging asphaltic
paving throughout the City.
. Bismarck Mines Project: Designed cement mixture that was utilized in
sealing cracks within the mine shafts. Cement mixture was a slurry
type fill that sealed cracks with minimal exterior leakage.
Precaution was taken to prevent curing of the slurry within the
equipment. Coordinated placement of rapid curing concrete within
mine's floors.
. City of Juarez International Airport Runway Rehabilitation Project:
Recommended to general contractor methods and practices in placing a
very rapid curing concrete (30 minutes). Demonstrated to concrete
laborers methods for spreading and vibrating cement. Work was
conducted during night shift as airport has only 1 operating runway.
Project Engineer, Materiales R o Grande,
August 1996 to September 1997
Assigned to Rio Grande Materials Monolite Division. Responsible for
product promotion. Conducted take offs for various projects in which
monolite panels would be utilized in lieu of normal CMU walls. Conducted
structural analysis calculations to determine monolite panels size and type
based on resistive capacities.

Engineering students.
Universidad Aut noma de Ciudad Ju rez,
July 1990 to November 1994
Laboratory Technician
Under Professor's supervision, conducted tests on concrete cylinders to
determine 7 day, 15 day and 28 day compressive strength. Conducted
strength tests on various rebar diameters to determine yield and ultimate
strengths. Performed proctor, plasticity, consolidation and triaxial tests
on soils obtained from construction sites that were used by owner's
engineer to determine foundation requirements. Recommended cement mix
designs for various aggregate characteristics. Performed various mix
designs using reclaimed water to determine strength & slump strength.
