and engine oils for contaminants on dipstick along with water in the oil; check all applicable wiring
harnesses attached to engine components such as generator wiring for cracks, frayed wires, bad or
loose connectors going from generator to the solenoid, batteries and to the starter; check the cooling
system for overheating, holes or a leak in the radiator, bad thermostat, or a head problem; check for
vacuum leaks in the fuel injection system or throttle body on a HUMMV, on a 2 1/2Ton truck, 5Ton
truck, or a 10Ton HEMMIT you would check the fuel injection pump and other associated parts that
go along with the system in the vehicle; Check engine oil pan, transmission oil pan and transfer case
housing for leaks and proper installation of all drain plugs; Check the power steering pump for proper
fluid circulation; check the hydraulic pump for leaks; Check front and rear differentials for leaks and
90 WT. gear oil levels; Check all seals on front and rear differentials for leaks; Check all drive shafts
and u joints for proper operation. If the drive shafts move up and down in the u joint, pump some
grease into them and if that does not work and the drive shafts still move in the u joint replace the u
joint or u joints; check all half shafts on HUMMV's for movement, if the half shaft moves take off the
tire and tighten up the hub nut on the gearbox, if the half shaft still moves get the manual out and
troubleshoot the problem; operate 2000 to 15,000lb gradall forklift's.
Inventory and turn in of all ammunition, storage of ammunition in the correct manner, blocking and
bracing of ammunition in vehicles to include shoring and load jacks when required.
