PROFESSIONAL WORK EXPERIENCE
United States Marine Corps - January 1989 - Present
. Advisor of executive level administrative support for the Commanding
Officer and Executive Officer, directly responsible for virtually all
administrative problems; personnel, budget, financial reports, awards,
travel, manpower needs, telecommunications, security, monitoring cash
and purchases made.
. Provide leadership and integration of the Command's diverse military
personnel programs including leave, awards, officer requirements,
advancement, humanitarian separation/transfer, performance
evaluations, entitlements, educational programs, transfer programs and
personnel assignments to over 500 members yearly.
. Lead and executed the Command's temporary duty travel program related
to accounting and financial management in tracking and coordinating a
financial report of over 1100 travel claims in excess of over
$675,000; reports, records, preparing and liquidating travel orders,
travel arrangements and Government Travel Card Program.
. Managed over 50 government travel card accounts ensuring all accounts
were current and maintained a zero delinquency rate for the command.
. Reviewed, monitored and ensured the accuracy of over an estimated 5000
transactions affecting all aspects of the personnel and staff records
and payroll.
. Developed and implemented an efficient Administrative Internal Control
program to ensure all programs were attained and maintained
compliance. This included monthly audit and updates, as well as
annual inspections of the administrative functional areas.
. Directly supervise over 10 military and civilian employees in support
of over 5000 military personnel.
. I assisted over 900 travel staff members with preparation and quality
audit review of travel vouchers and travel authorizations and assisted
with managing the Government travel card program under the guidance
and direction of the lead travel card Coordinator (OPC) within the
