I began working for Golden Temple in the sanitation department where I
cleaned food manufacturing equipment on third shift. After one year I
moved to first shift where I worked in cereal packaging. There I operated
various machines and manufacturing equipment advancing my way to a lead
position where I was responsible for training new and temporary employees.
I then moved to the tea manufacturing department where I operated
sophisticated high speed manufacturing equipment. After time I was asked
to work in the Shipping/Receiving department where I worked my way up to
the company senior forklift driver. My responsibilities included the
loading/unloading freight, the receiving, staging, and inspection of raw,
packaging and other various materials. They also included pulling orders
per the generated pick list, staging and loading pallets of finished goods.
Other responsibilities included the proper stocking of received freight,
pulling materials according to FIFO and conducting regular cycle counts. I
have experience driving propane, electric sit-down and stand up forklifts
among other various material handling equipment. I was promoted to
Warehouse Supervisor overseeing a staff of 22 warehouse and material
handler employees. During that time I was an original member of the first
company Continuous Improvement Management Team and have participated in
several company wide Continuous Improvement projects. I have created and
written several company policies and procedures. I have also designed and
overseen the construction of numerous warehouse racking layouts to
accommodate company growth and change. I have experience with Microsoft
Word, Excel and Outlook email as well as ADP ezLabor, Oracle ERP systems
and SharePoint database. I am honest, dependable, self motivated and
quality minded.
