I am currently a student at Georgia Southwestern State University and
I'm anticipating graduation December 8th with a B.S. degree in
Psychology. During enrollment of classes, I have also continued to work
full time with the Georgia State Board of Pardons and Paroles in
Americus, Georgia for the past four years. I also assist a private
probation officer at Municipal Court with sentence sheets and intake
sheets. I have completed an internship with Magnolia Manor Mattie
Marshall Alzheimer Center and gained experience with behavioral

I am in charge of all routine clerical duties such as filing, opening
and closing new cases, photocopying, sorting and distributing mail,
answering the phone and screening phone calls to free up the officer's
time, greeting and directing visitors to the appropriate person. I am
also in charge of making sure the office has all the supplies as
needed throughout the entire year and to ensure supplies are used
conservatively. I am certified as a GCIC operator and responsible for
running any confidential background checks on our parolees. I also
assist the officers with entries into FLOID, our computer system we
use to track parolees, and also assist with investigations. After
working for the Parole Board the past three years, I have learned the
importance of confidentiality. I am also responsible for keeping up
with monthly money orders that are paid to our office and ensuring
that they are received by our office in Atlanta in a timely manner. I
also have to complete a monthly report each month to show how many
investigations are completed by our office and also calculate our
vehicle logs. I work side by side with other agencies such as State
Probation and Private Probation Companies, District Attorney's office,
Sheriff and Police Departments, Juvenile Court, etc.

I was in charge of taking orders and getting food out in a timely
manner. I was also responsible for answering the phone and taking to
go orders. I was responsible for all my cash, checks, and credit card
slips throughout my entire shift. I believe that Dingus Magee's has
helped me improve my customer service skills and has also made me more
responsible by having to accurately keep up with cash receipts at one
time.

Terrell County Commissioners - Probate / Magistrate Court

Probate Court: I was responsible for entering citations into the
computer system, taking money from customers that posted cash bonds
for their citations, answering the phone, assisting in maintaining the
county's birth and death certificates, assisting the judge in court
with paperwork, etc.
Magistrate Court: I was responsible for general clerical duties
including answering the phone, taking messages and directing citizens
in the order they must go about filing and taking care of business.
Other duties included preparing warrants, receiving fees from citizens
that filed suits in Magistrate court, receiving fines and fees from
citizens and/or defendants that were court ordered to pay in
connection with Magistrate Court orders.

attending Terrell Academy, I was a member of the 4-H club from the 4th

great interpersonal communication skills as well as preparing me for
public speaking. I was a Varsity Cheerleader for 3 years. In my junior
year, I was nominated and elected Co-Captain of the cheerleading squad.
My senior year, I was nominated and elected Captain of the cheerleading
squad. Through serving as Co-Captain and Captain of the squad, I
learned leadership skills and the ability to be a team player. I served
on the Yearbook staff, Letter club, Spanish club, and One-Act play.
