Experience Mechanic

Check inflation, inspect, change, repair and rotate tires.

Disassemble units and inspect parts for wear.

Overhaul or replace carburetors, blowers, generators, distributors,

starters, and pumps.

Repair and service air conditioning, heating, engine-cooling, and

electrical systems.

Repair or replace parts such as pistons, rods, gears, valves, and

bearings.

Repair manual and automatic transmissions, replace shock absorbers.

Rebuild parts such as crankshafts and cylinder blocks.

Diagnose, adjust, repair, or overhaul trucks, buses, and all types of

engines.

Use tools such as pressure gauges, precision instruments, pneumatic

wrenches, lathes, jacks and hoists.

Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, and wheel bearings to ensure

proper operating condition.

Perform maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries, and

lubricating equipment and machinery.

Adjust and reline brakes, align wheels, tighten bolts and screws, and

reassemble equipment.

Inspect, test, and listen to defective equipment to diagnose

malfunctions,

Rewire ignition systems, lights, and instrument panels.

Repair and adjust seats, doors, and windows, and install and repair

accessories.

Disassemble and overhaul internal combustion engines, clutches, and

differential units.

Rebuild gas and/or diesel engines.

Align front ends and suspension systems.

Auto Body Repair

File, grind, sand and smooth filled or repaired surfaces.

Remove damaged sections of vehicles and install replacement parts.

Prime and paint repaired surfaces, using paint spray guns and motorized

sanders.

Mix polyester resins and hardeners to be used in restoring damaged

areas.

Chain or clamp frames and sections to alignment machines to align

damaged components.

Position dolly blocks against surfaces of dented areas and beat opposite

surfaces to remove dents.

Review damage reports, prepare or review repair cost estimates, and plan

work to be performed.

Remove small pits and dimples in body metal using pick hammers and

punches.

Remove equipment and trim to gain access to vehicle bodies and fenders.

Fit and secure windows, vinyl roofs, and metal trim to vehicle bodies.

Read specifications or talk with customers to determine the desired

modifications for altering the vehicle.

Replace damaged glass on vehicles.

Measure and mark vinyl material and cut material to size for roof

installation.

Parking Lot Attendant

Greet guests or visitors as they arrive.

Save customers valuable time and help to diminish the customer's

frustration of finding a place to park.

Responsible for parking vehicles, vehicle retrieval and customer

service.

Assess and document any vehicle damage before taking possession of the

customer's car and giving them a valet receipt ticket.

Record the parking space location and number on the valet ticket.

Ensure that the customer's keys and the ticket for their car are given

to the valet cashier.

Maintenance

Repair or replace defective equipment parts and reassemble equipment.

Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines run

smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, and the physical

condition of buildings does not deteriorate.

Record maintenance and repair work performed and the costs of the work.

Adjust functional parts of and control instruments.

Paint and repair roofs, windows, doors, floors, woodwork, plaster, and

drywall.

Align and balance new equipment after installation.

Janitorial

Level 1 and Level 2 Janitorial Certifications.

Clean and sanitize bathrooms, hallways, kitchens, etc.

Change light bulbs, replace ballast and repair and replace fixtures.

Clean floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, vacuuming or steam-clean

or shampoo carpets.

Strip, seal, finish, wax and polish floors.

Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment,

in order to prevent damage.

Notify managers concerning the need for major repairs.

Remove snow from sidewalks, driveways, and parking areas.

Requisition supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance

duties.
