Local Business Manager
• In December 2008 I was hired as the Traffic Assistant for WRXW and WWJK-FM making $26,000 per year.
In January 2009 I was given the chance to become the Traffic Manager and was given a $3,000 raise and was
informed that later in the year they expected me to learn the duties of the local business manager. In March
2009 I was promoted to the Business Manager and given an additional raise of $3,000. In June of 2010 I was
given an additional $2,000. At present time I am making $34,000 per year plus quarterly bonuses for monies
collected that are 90+ days past due.
• My duties for all positions include entering contract schedules for commercial airtime on two radio stations,
prepare commercial logs to be merged with music logs for the next day’s radio broadcast for both stations,
processing all payables for the Jackson, MS office, prepare reports for the President, Vice President, General
Manager, and General Sales Manager, collection and write up the daily deposit, maintain a spreadsheet of the
daily deposits and maintain files for each months deposits, entering the receivables into the AR system, enter
the accounts payable invoices into Great Plains, meeting with the sales reps to discuss collections on
individual accounts, prepare weekly and monthly invoices and statements, perform month end closing and
print all reports, balance petty cash and maintain the cash flow, train new sales reps on how to do all paper
work, maintain employee files, manage the front desk receptionist, prepare information for payroll and
commission statements, answer the switchboard, meet and greet all station guests, fax, maintain station client
contract files and make copies for all staff members as needed

Assistant Business Manager
• In September 2001 I was hired as the receptionist and sales assistant for five local radio stations, WJMI,
WKXI AM/FM, and WOAD AM/FM making $17,500 per year. After a few years the General Manager
thought that I would be a great candidate for the new Business Manager’s Assistant and traffic assistant and
offered me a raise to $24,000 and the promotion. After years of service in November 2008 the company took
a down turn and my position was no longer a necessity and I was released of my duties. The General
Manager knowing my work ethics and abilities made a phone call to the President of Back Yard Broadcasting
to let them know that he had the perfect candidate for their traffic assistant position at which time the
President of Back Yard interviewed me over the phone and offered me the position.
• My duties at ICBC included answering the switchboard, greeting clients and guests, handling of prized to
winners, preparing colorful and informative sales proposals for sales reps, maintain invoice files for the
company, enter contract commercial schedules for all five stations, prepared the commercial logs to be
merged with music logs for the next day’s radio broadcast, coordinate all parties and station events, prepared
invoices and statements for clients, maintained a collection list and received commission for any monies
collected over 120+ days, was complete backup for the business manager in her absence and assisted the
general manager as needed.
2/1/1998 to 9/14/2001 Arrow 94.7 and WVIV Jackson, MS
Receptionist/Sales Assistant
• In February 1998 I was hired as the receptionist and sales assistant making $15,500. After two years I
received a call from ICBC offering me a better opportunity so I accepted the position and left Arrow 94.7 and
WVIV in 2001.
• My duties at Arrow 94.7 and WVIV were to answer the switchboard, type proposals for the sales reps, was
the direct assistant to the General Sales Manager, filing, mail sort and distribution, fax, copy and transcribe
script as needed.

• In June of 1996 after having a baby in February 1996 I was ready to get back into the work force. I was hired
as a cashier in the Chevrolet service department. Later in the year I was requested by the parts department to
join their team as the switchboard operator. I left in February 1998 to pursue a better job.

Nursing Prerequisits
• Unfortunately I have not been able to finish my dream of becoming a nurse. With being a single mother
needing to keep a full time job to support my son I was never able to apply for nursing school.
